BASIC FORMULA

Basic Ohms LAW:

V=IR

V=Voltage, R=Resistance, I=Current

Ohms Laws, Resistor in series and parallel

Ohm's Law Formulas for D-C Circuits.
E=IR =P/I=ROOT OF PR

P=I^2 *R=EI=E^2/R

Ohm's Law Formulas for A-C Circuits.

In these formulas is the angle of lead or lag between current and voltage
and cos = P/EI = power factor.
E=ROOT OF PZ/COStheta

Resistors in Series
Rtotal = R1 + R2 + R3 + . . . .

Two Resistors in Parallel
Rt=r1R2/(r1+R2

Resistors in Parallel, General Formula
Rtotal=1/(1/R1+1/R2---)

Symbolic:

kW = KILOWATTS
kWh = KILOWATT HOUR
VA = VOLT-AMPERES
kVA = KILOVOLT-AMPERES
C = CAPACITANCE
EFF = EFFICIENCY
E =VOLTS || (V = VOLTS)
P =WATTS || (W = WATTS)
R = OHMS || (R = RESISTANCE)
I =AMPERES || (A = AMPERES)
HP = HORSEPOWER
PF = POWER FACTOR

DIRECT CURRENT

VOLTS= WATTS ÷ AMPS E = P ÷ I V = W ÷ A
HORSEPOWER= (V x A x EFF)÷746
EFFICIENCY= (746 x HP)÷(V x A)
AMPS= WATTS÷VOLTS I = P ÷ E A = W ÷ V
WATTS= VOLTS x AMPS P = E x I W = V
x A
