You must be knowing that current [measured in amperes] is nothing but movement of electrons and the pressure applied to these electrons is called voltage [measured in volts]. Before knowing what electricity we must know what an atom is made up of, an atom consists of nucleus to which electrons are either tightly bounded or loosely bounded. It is tightly bounded in things like wood and hence the current flow in them is not good therefore they are bad conductors of electricity whereas on the other hand copper, iron, gold silver has loosely bounded electrons which provides good current flow. If you allow electrons to move through a wire, they will create a magnetic field around the wire. Similarly, if you move a magnet near a wire, the magnetic field will cause electrons in the wire to move
These include many easily recognizable phenomena such as lightning and static electricity
What is Electricity?
Electricity is the flow of electrical power or charge
